How to message a patient
Use Messages in a clinic or Chat in a solo practice to open your conversations.
Open your inbox
Clinic clinicians: choose Messages. Solo providers: choose Chat. Select an existing patient thread or start one from the patient recipients available to you.
Check the conversation
Review the patient and participants. A care conversation may include the patient's care team, so check the thread before sending sensitive details.
Write and send
Enter your message and send it. Use the same thread for replies so the conversation stays together.
